Jiri to Everest base camp trek cover low land from Jiri to highland Kalapathar 5545m. This is breathtaking walking trip in Everest Region. Trekker requires a good walking experience and a good physical health condition. This trek is very interesting walking with its panoramic view of Everest 8848m, Cho Oyu 8152m, Lhotse 8516m, Makalu 8463m and Ama Dablam 6456m. through the famous Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar, Tengboche Buddhist Monastery, Khunde Khumjung etc.

Most people heading to the Solu-Khumbu region are intent only on getting a close-up glimpse of Mount Everest and often take a plane into Lukla. However, the trail from Jiri to Namche, though not long on mountain views, does pass through numerous interesting villages that are now visited by a small number of trekkers each year.

Jiri Everest Base Camp Trekking Itinerary:
Day 01 : Arrival in kathmandu
Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu .Short briefing will follow concerning the necessary formalities and your trekking itinerary. Depending upon your arrival time you may spend free time visiting nearby sanctuaries or resting.
Day 02 : Sightseeing / Cultural Day in Kathmandu Valley
Half day sightseeing around UNESCO Bhaktapur / Kathmandu where your guide will escort you on a tour of Buddhist and Hindu temples and shrines reflecting ancient local traditions. There is time to explore the city’s many places of interest on your own or take a rest while trekking permits are finalised. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 03 : Kathmandu - Jiri: Drive to Jiri, 187 km form Kathmandu.
Day 04 : Jiri - Deorali: The trek begins witha steady climb through cultivated fields and tiny Tamang villages. Climbing diagonally , we cross forested areas and open pasture land before again descending to Shivalaya. From here it's steady climb to the top of the Deorali pass( 3000m) where we spend the night.
Day 05 : Deorali - Sete: From Deorali, it's a short walk to the Sherpal village fo Bhandar which is littered wity prayer walls and small gompas ( buddhist temples) Descending to the valley floor at the river side town of Kenja, the trail climbs steeply up a ridge ruchly forested with oak and rhododendron to Sete ( 2575m) whose beautiful hilltop monastery is a worth a visit.
Day 06 : Sete Junbesi: We climb through fragnant pine and oak forest to the Lamjura pass ( 3500m) for our first glimpse of Everest, then it's downhill again to the large Sherpa village of Junvbesi. From here there are goodo views Gaurishankar, Number Himal and Dudh Kunda.
Day 07 : Junbesi - Nuntala: From here we walk up the solung ridge, from where Everest is again visible and then descend to Ringo Khola, ringed with apple orchards. The trail crosses the Traksindola (3071m) before descending once again through the forest to Nuntala.
Day 08 : Nuntala - Kharikhola: From nuntala the descend continues to Dudh Koshi ( Milk river) the largest river on the trek. Then ascend through severeal Sherpa and Rai villages. Terraced fields and forest to the spread out village of Khari-Khola
Day 09 : Khari-Khola - Puiyan:The path ascends through Sherpa villages and a forest inhabited by monkeys, and then winds steeply up adn down through the Dudh Koshi canyan to Puiyan.
Day 10 : Puiyan - Phakding: The trail climbs for about an hour after Puiyan to a ridge at 2800m. then up to another ridge. Passing the path to Lukla airport, after which we climb on to Phakding.
Phakding to Namche (3,440m)- Beginning with a slight climb to Jhorsalle, the trail passes a waterfall. All day, we pass villages interspersed with magnificent forest- rhododendron, magniolia trees and giant firs. And on the way to walking you will be rewarded (weather permitting) your first glimpse of Kusum Kanggru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m) Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7879 m). A steep climb up to the beautiful village of Namche bazaar (3440m).
Day 11 : Phakding to Namche (3,440m) - Beginning with a slight climb to Jhorsalle, the trail passes a waterfall. All day, we pass villages interspersed with magnificent forest- rhododendron, magniolia trees and giant firs. And on the way to walking you will be rewarded (weather permitting) your first glimpse of Kusum Kanggru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m) Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7879 m). A steep climb up to the beautiful village of Namche bazaar (3440m).
Day 12 : Acclimatization day in Namche. Acclimatization is most important before proceeding to a higher elevation. It is therefore recommended that you take a short days hike to Thame, Khunde or Khumjung or relax and explore the sherpa culture of Namche.
Day 13 : Namche to Tengboche (3,867m): after walking one hour you arrive in phungithanga from there the trail climbs through forests where you can spot musk deer. Tengboche sits on a saddle at 3870m in a clearing surrounded by dwarf fires and rododendroms. Kwongde (6187m) Tawache(6542m) Everest (8848m) Nuptse (7855m) Lhotse (8618m) Amadablam (6856m) Thamserku (6608m) provide and inspiring panorama of Himalayan giants. We visit the Bhuddist Monastry at Tengboche, the largest in Khumbu region.
Day 14 : Tengboche to Pheriche: Beyond Tengboche the altitude really starts to tell. The trail droops down to Dingboche, crosses the Imja Khola and climbs past superb mani stones ( carved with the Tibetan Buddhist chant om mani padme hum) to Pangboche at 3860m The gompa here is worth visiting. Then the trail start climbs to Pheriche 4240m. Where there is a medical facility, which gives lectures everyday on Altitude Sickness.
Day 15 : Another acclimatization day, again walking up and then coming back down is better than just resting in high altitude, you can make a day trip to Nangkartshang Gompa or up the hil to lok down onto Dingboche, Either walk offers good views.
Day 16 : Pheriche to Lobuche - The trail climbs to Phalang karpo at 4340m then Duglha at 4620m,From Dughla the trail ascends the broad, gently slopping valley and climb steeply in to the terminal moraine of the Khumbu glacier then left in to the memorial area Chukpilhara, before reaching the Lobuche at 4930m
Day 17 : Lobuche to Gorakshep : The trail from Lobuche follows the grassy ablation valley with great views of Pumori then crosses tributary glaciers to reach the dry lake bed of Gokrakchep. Stop for lunch then climb Kalapattar to get the best views of Everest and the surrounding mountains, then and back to Gorakshep for the evening.
Day 18 : Gorekshep to Everest Base Camp back to Lobuche - Early morning we walk to Everest Base Camp , visit base camp area and work down to Lobuche.
Day 18 : Lobuche to Dingboche - Staying the night at Dingboche, makes an interesting accommodation alternative.
Day 19 : Lobuche to pangboche - Staying the night at pangboche, makes an interesting accommodation alternative.
Day 20 : Pangboche to Khumjung Village (3,789m): We walk down to the river then start hiking up to Khumjung village. Many trekkers enjoy like this Khumjung village as there is a very beautiful community of Sherpas.
Day 21 : Kumjung to Monzo: From Kumjung it is a short hike to Namche Bazaar. We will stop and give you time to make any final souvenier purchases before continuing on down the hill to Monzo.
Day 22 : Monzo to Lukla: Even though we are going down the valley the trek has a final sting for us. We must hike up a hill to get to Lukla. Last day of the trek in a bustling town enjoy dinner with Your Trekking crew.
Day 23 : Flight from Lukla - KTM, transfer to hotel
Day 24 : Kathmandu free day, evening culture show with nepali dinner, hotel
Day 25 : Final departure, transfer to airport
